Are you getting any action in that bator?? Tomorrow being the 6th. I guess if you have them in an egg carton you wouldn't see the eggs wriggle would you?

No promises, but you never know, that part of the fun..the anticipation! I'm watching, going in about every 3 hrs..just to see, even if it's just them moving around..hmm, they've slowed down now, the ones that were moving, guessing they are resting for the big first...pip.

I've never tried a staggered clutch...how do you do it? I wouldn't mind trying with a couple of favorite breeds.
Good luck to you! Oh, and I love little bobwhites! We see them around here, believe it or not, running across the streets when we are driving up close and around the foothills. Soooo cute! Also see the partridge and pheasant around here. Poor things, they are being pushed down into neighborhoods with a lot of trees around because of all the building that's gone on up in the foothills. Our deer too.

maybe a vid..
Well it wasn't planned, that's for sure. Lol. I got some pheasants, ringnecked and ducks on the 15th and set them in the incubator. Right off the bat it was a staggered hatch I guess. True pheasants, and chukar hatch in 24 days and the ducks 4 days later. Easy enough, lock down the little ones and turn he big ones... Well then the 16th I got some melanistic pheasants, more chukar and bob whites.. This made it a little more interesting, all I did was put a star on the ones that I got the second day so I know which ones to turn for the extra day. Humidity, I've just kept it between 50-65 % since the beginning. Everybody good and have only had one real quitter (formed baby. Quit at 12 days). I lock down the first bunch, then the next day I lock down the second, and 4 days later I lock down the ducks.
Maybe I got a little into my describing the whole situation.... Lol
Well I have 4 pips. This is the longest I have ever waited. They seem to be taking for ever. The one piped yesterday morning and I thought gave up, but now is moving more. My last hatch started early and ended early. Hoping for better results. Hope everyone is doing well.....
Tracy in Wisconsin where Im glad the rain has stopped!!!
