Lockdown tomorrow, anyone else this weekend?

Elped as much as I'm going to. And I have two more pips!!! The ringneck/melanistic pheasants!! So three out of 26 are pipped. Lmao! This is either gonna be an insane hatching or a long drawn out one. I mean 26 babies! What was I thinking? Lmao! And I'm getting more!!! Hahaha

oh but the baby is now more active, I tried helping him a little but he still had blood in the membrane. Thinkin he pipped before he was ready to really come out. So he's sitting there, relaxin and suckin up the blood and yolk.

I think the first one is holding off until others hatch.. lol! Hes just hangin out in his egg, not trying to get out, seems pretty content.. not in distress one bit actually. LOL!
Now i have 6 pips! 6 pips and NONE out yet! the little one has been hanging out in his egg for 24 hours now, just chillin

His membrane is getting a little dry though, even with 70% humidity. I figure when he actively starts trying to come out ill help him to get released from his saran wrapped self.. Ive been so busy with these guys that i havnt taken my dog out and done any brush up training or worked on my coop or anything! Aag i feel so, so, excited about the babies!!!

I just wish they would come out already!!!
Yes it is quite a few, a friend of mine hatched 200 at one time!

Said he had to chase them all over trying to catch them when he opened the incubator. LMAO! i would have had so much fun with it!

By leaving a hatched chick in the incubator it helps the other chicks to hatch by hearing the chick peeping.

That's awesome!! I am so in love with hatching now! Unfortunately I can't do anymore because I haven't got the room for them

But....here are some pics of my (9 out of 13 eggs) that hatched....cute little fuzzybutts!!!

Anyone know what this lighter one could end up like? I got 2 of those..the guy I got the eggs from has RIR roosters and a Red Star rooster. The lightest hens he has are BO's....

I'm just guessing with a Buff O..in the picture, it could be a cross of that. Looks like mine..I had a huge BO rooster for a daddy, and a Cuckoo Marans...I got mostly BO cross with the Ameraucana mama. They have real puffy cheeks..sooo cute.

he had been in his shell for 36 hours. Shrink wrapped so I had to help him out. He is sooo cute. Little chukar.

I lost my little guy I helped this morning. He just went to sleep and did not wake up. I was pretty sure he would not make it because he would not drink or eat or even try to. I'm just calling him 'he' I have no magic way of knowing what it was. He lasted three and a half days. I'm still satisfied that I helped him, and I'm sure he would have died anyway.

The other six are doing just fine...it is amazing how much bigger and stronger they became while he languished.
