heresy the new chicks at 3 weeks..so many feathers can't tell the roos from the pullets yet i figure 2 more weeks then maybe...lol

Ours are a month old.. We just moved them permanently to the coop with the big girls (divider for now) .. They have spent time out there the last few days while the bigs were outside scratching thru leaves.. This is their first night staying outside.. Kind of quiet in the living room, but now we have a place for our christmas tree again lol.. Couple of cold nights coming up.. Of they make it thru this week they should be just fine.. Not that i have any doubts, they are almost completely feathered and the coop i built is inside of a barn

outside 3 degrees and dry cold. I am at one week with the chicks and am keeping it at 70 in the house, it is very dry now even in the house, so tossed in a 1/4th of an apple slice. Normally I dry hatch, but I thought it needed a little something. worked great. reached my hand in box to turn I could feel the moisture. It certainly does not need more.

I go I ton lockdown December 11 with about 22 RiR and BR eggs, started with about 39... Some were not fertile... Some had blood rings...some just stopped....but I'm excited !
