Lockdown

rembember, if you see one move- it could be another 24 hrs before the first outer hole. after the first hole they need another 24 hrs to fully hatch. the first hole means they want air. they are still absorbing the yolk. When they get done absorbing and get bored in their egg they will finish the rest of the way.

We have had them take hours and hours after first pip.. And we have had some that were just in a hurry.. Once they start to unzip, they will be fast.. Hope you have a good hatch

No chicks yet but I saw two move.

Isn't it awesome to be able to see the eggs wiggling and know they are getting ready to come out and meet the world?

I have six in my lockdown (for me this means stop turning- and after the pip I add a damp papertowel.) 6 is the number I like in my incubator

they were fertile fridge eggs, I got from a friend. since it is day 18 I candled the eggs to mark air cells at the round part of the egg.while I am candling I also shine the light through the pointy part of the egg. if light shows through there the egg is not finished developing so it will be a late hatch or not at all.(the pointy end should be dark by day 16) I have 2 that are bantam eggs so they should be ahead of the game, not behind, but they are clear on the tip.. I will give them a chance. it is still early yet. but I am not holding my breath. 4 developing normal, yeah!
