Ours isn't a log cabin but it does have the rustic charm. It has cypress siding taken from our property.

Nancy, I've heard that cypress is brilliant to build with... humidity, heat, cold, anything... cypress remains.

Only pic I have on the computer of our cabin, it's not log but built with Chestnut lumber. Deep in the mts. of WV. Took this one as we were walking and I mean walking out, couldn't get in by vehicle.
