You are getting some good advice here.

As far as sleeping goes, I usually brood my chicks and ducklings indoors, and while the constant "talking" is initially a problem, I acclimate to it fairly quickly and actually find it a bit comforting, because I know that as long as I can hear talking, everything is okay.

I actually love the little sounds they make, but we live in a townhouse style and we could get fined if our animals are too loud(
