I'm wondering if anyone else has ever tried that - trading chicks with a feed store...

funny that you mention that!!! last year after the county fair, they livestock area was giving away the chicks they order for display. My daughters and I scooped them up and we kept a few then i called the local feed store and asked if they could trade for them! the nice guy gave me shavings, chick feed and rat bait for the chicks I brought in!!
Your chicks are super cute!! I get mine soon!CAN'T WAIT!!

So sorry miss belle...I was slow. My son is in love with the houdan we got...her name is espy I have an assortment....several barred rocks, an americana,a couple of leghorns, sex-link, and a RIR. I am fascinated with them
