Well, what a surprise! It isn't everyday you find a bullmastiff in your live trap!

I would ask the owner what on earth a bullmastiff was doing wandering about.

I Hope you didn't lose any chickens or ducks last night. That sure is a beautiful dog. It's terrible that it's owner doesn't think more of it than to let it wander around at night.

Next time, I doubt I'd let the owners know. Now that YOU know it's a repeat offender, having killed other's chickens.

Exactly....I told the dog as he was being put in the car..."don't come back". And then I told the owner, I sure hope I never see him again. The owner didn't seem too concerned, didn't even bring a leash to get it. The owner told me that his dog has killed chickens in the past, and said "wow, he sure went a long way didn't he?" Yeah, there was genuine concern there.....NOT!!

The dogs at his house weren't even fenced in. No tags, on any of them...and he asks me "well what did you bait it with...a bone?" I said, as I chuckled, "oddly enough it was fresh chicken innards". He shut up and left.

Yeah, next time I won't go lookin' for the owner...

Love your trap and off to scope out the plans for my DH. Would be neat to scop it out every morning!
