Not usually. In peak season I could get 2 bucks a dozen for my eggs. But normally it's just too hard. I live an hour out of town and there's one neighbor near meDo you sell your eggs since you don't eat them

Yeah ducks seem super messy! LOLIt was actually 12, 2 ducks and the rest of them chickens. Never had more than 3 duckos at a time- they’re a hassle!
I have kept myself from buying an incubator bc I know if I do I will tell myself I need to use it
im sorry you lost your babies, but at least you got a batch from your little boy before he passed away ❤
Yes! I used to fill up their pool every day, bc they poop in it so it turns brown/green within 3 hours. In winter they come up to you in the run and lead you over to their pool so you can break the ice for themYeah ducks seem super messy! LOL
And yeah once you buy one it’s all over
And thanks!! But yeah I’m glad I at least have some of his kids. ❤
That’s nasty! LOL But adorableYes! I used to fill up their pool every day, bc they poop in it so it turns brown/green within 3 hours. In winter they come up to you in the run and lead you over to their pool so you can break the ice for them
I have dreams of hatching my angles and one day it will come true! I just have to give it some time, maybe in a few years when my pair of two-year-olds stop laying. (The 3yro got sick and quit this summer, and we got a surprise pullet From the hatchery right before so the hole has been patched up- just gotta wait for them to lay! JANUARY COME SOON!)
Ya! They don’t stop laying until around 5-7 years, sometimes 8That’s nasty! LOL But adorable
And I hope you can hatch soon!! Some of my girls are 5 years old and still laying![]()
Yeah one of my older birds that I lost this spring was still laying almost every day! She had slowed down a tiny bit this past year but still laying tons. Also was a good winter layer always and laid daily in her prime. And they say EEs aren’t good layers lolYa! They don’t stop laying until around 5-7 years, sometimes 8but my 3yro got very sick and her body stopped on its own. My 2yros could pass as 3 bc it’s only a few months until they are! But, in , “a few years” could be considered 2 or 3, mean it IS 2-3 really. Maybe it will happen sooner- all of the breeds I ordered this year are pretty bad layers and there’s only 4 new ones bc I suddenly Lost two layers AFTER ordering so there was no going back (one died the other quit, and I knew the hatchery would give me an extra so I ordered 3 and got 4-if I had known I’d be down 2, I would have ordered 4 and gotten 5)
I’m glad to know EEs are reliable since I did get two this summerYeah one of my older birds that I lost this spring was still laying almost every day! And sorry for the losses![]()

Yeah I always heard they weren’t great and I do have one that’s somewhat unreliable (laid great the first year or two then was kinda spotty for a while. She’s been better lately) but my other two lay/laid daily LOLI’m glad to know EEs are reliable since I did get two this summer(I was worried about a high egg count- but now I’m worried I won’t get enough) but I’m sad you lost her! They always go unexpectedly but they have their own ways of saying goodbye, by letting you love them until the end- it’s very special even if you never got to give a proper goodbye back

And yeah she and 2 others got taken in one day this spring by I think a fox or coyote family.I’m glad to know EEs are reliable since I did get two this summer(I was worried about a high egg count- but now I’m worried I won’t get enough) but I’m sad you lost her!
