Looking for beautiful Breeds

I have no further words than MOSAICS
they can only be purchased at this link, and cost 72 dollars a dozen, and you may only purchase 1 dozen, plus they are sold out until January 4th BUT they are STUNNING STUNNING STUNNING

i don’t know if they are cold-hardy or-heat-tolerant, but I just wish I could add them to MY flock!!!!!

I can actually buy them from eBay too. They're on my list but the person I wanted to get eggs from is done for this year

I hope my LF Moderns don't find out from the experts that don't raise them that they are delicate.

Those prices are ridiculous! I know you think you are missing out, but do not worry. Mosaics are only a mutt, and you could create some yourself by crossing Cemanis with barnyard chickens! While they won’t have the same name, they will be equally beautiful!

I guess this is kind of a generalization that shouldn’t apply to large Moderns. I always think of Moderns as delicate because I am more familiar with bantams, but I’m sure sure the large ones are tougher. Are they very broody?

(Not my birds, but I saw some at a show and thought they were pretty cool.)

Dang cold tolerance and broodiness rules out all the Mediterranean, fanciness rules out all the Americans and English, broodiness and heat tolerance rules out most Continental and heat tolerance rules out all Asiatics, along with their size which would make hatching harder.
Cubalayas and Yokahomas meet the criteria though. They are heat and cold tolerant and broody, as well as interesting. I would get them.
My Leghorn did fine last winter :)
