Why in the world does such a vicious creature have to be so darned cute? They really should look more like slimy city rats. I dread the day that a raccoon gets past my defenses and I have to trap and kill it. They are just such ruthless, smart predators.

i dont drown or shoot them, i work 70 miles 1 way so i relocate them real good. i would shoot 1 in a second, but i feel any good you do comes back around to you sooner or later. dont get me wrong, cant stand coons but their just dumd hungry animals.

If I were in your shoe's I would drown them.

My pets are more important to me.

Dropping the animal someplace else reminds me of all the dogs and cats that get dropped off on my road. Now they are my problem.

Ruger makes a high powered pellet rifle that will dispatch a coon at close range. But drowning is a good option. People who have drowned and been revived say that once the water is inhaled they simply go to sleep.
