Any ideas of why some of my eggs the yolks are nice and firm but some of them are loose and just break so easily? It's hard to make a pretty fried egg when the yolk won't stay intact. comments anyone? and thanks

If it's possible to tell, are they random eggs (i.e. eggs from different layers) or does it always seem to be eggs from one or two birds?

If you can differentiate eggs, have you tried keeping refrigerated some of those problematic eggs to see if that changes anything?

I have five different breeds but all brown egg layers. I don't know how to tell the eggs apart. I guess that I will just start keeping them in the fridge to see if that helps. They taste fine but they just have to turn into scrambled instead of fried. :)
Any other comments bring them on!

how old are the eggs? fresh should be nice and firm
My Ameracauna’s eggs tend to have weaker yolks than my other two hens (Marans).

They all get the same feed (local organic layer feed).

Any ideas? Is there a possible health issue?
