I'm starting wonder at what the sources are for some of the things being reported. In particular, I find it hard to believe that the CDFA is preventing people from having a neighbor or friend present when their chickens are being killed. How can they possibly enforce that? I'm all for bringing things to light, but I'm starting to question some of these claims.

it is true and it is all on video, they are using CHP as security and asking supporters to leave the property. A few days ago one of the SOB members stood at a distance using the neighbors property to film another heartbreaking slaughter in which the chickens did not die in the amount of time they say they do, they held the lid down and you could hear them screaming and fighting to get out. A few days before the trash bags in the back of another vehicle had chickens sealed in it trying to get out after they were supposed to be euthanized. Nothng humane about that.

No doubt about that -- this whole situation has been grossly mishandled and someone needs to answer for it. But I just don't know about that group -- it does get hard to distinguish fact from fiction over there sometimes, what with everyone screaming about our freedoms being taken away/conspiracy theories, etc. Some of the videos I've watched, yeah its clear that this isn't being done humanely. Other videos...well, tbh, I can't figure out what the hell is going on.

An owner whose birds had tested negative twice got an unexpected visit today from CDFA. Too unexpected to bring FB friends. So he videoed it himself. As I've said before, people can differ on whether the mass euth is necessary, but does this look like humane euthanasia to anyone?

I wish people would use youtube or something instead of crappy facebook. I don't think they realize how much that limits their exposure. If I see a link to facebook I won't click on it.

No doubt about that -- this whole situation has been grossly mishandled and someone needs to answer for it. Admins are trying to cut down on that by having people report off-topic/extraneous posts to them. And to be fair, as the LAT points out, the founder three months ago was a SAHM who posted cute chicken/kid videos on her personal fb for a handful of people she personally knew. Two months later,she's managing a 5,500-member viral group being watched by everyone. There's a learning curve for all involved.
