Last night I discovered one of my hens just sitting in the run... As I watched her I saw other chickens step on her & she didn't move so I went in & checked her out. There were no signs of injury so I set her back down where she stood for a sec or two & then collapsed, not sit down but collapsed & splayed her wings out so they were touching the ground as if to balance herself.
Then to test her balance ( more of an experiment really) I rolled her on her side & let her go... Well she stayed in that position until I picked her back up to isolate her.
Today when I got home I fully expected to find her dead but she was actually standing when walked up to the isolation pen. She had taken almost no food or water since last night. I tried to coax her to walk but she would take only one step & then fall on her side, get bac up, take another step on fall back on her side.
Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong with her? These are my 1st chickens & I really don't know what to do...
