Lost Rhode Island Red

Tomorrow will be the 3 day mark of her disappearance. And her sister seems depressed. Acting very strange. She is also more aggressive than usual. We think she is because her sister is not near. We have not found anything so far. Hopefully soon she will show up. Everyone is geeling down including the other 5 girls.

They may be adjusting their pecking order. Sorry that she has not shown up. You may have luck posting signs in your neighborhood, just in case someone took her in.

K, tho i have texted some friends that live next door but they havent seen anything. Also more aggressive towards other animals like my cats. She usually stays away from them with her sister.

Aswell as, all other 5 girls have stopped laying. Could this be die to stress? They're behavior has changed right after friday.they come in hours earlier. They haven't even gone into the coop. And we have not seen any sign of our 6th girl.

She has never turned up, but the worst has happened today. Her sister was killed by our 3 puppies. The most traumatic experience of my life finder her body. My brother misscounted when he was putter them up so the dogs can go outside. Now we are getting rid of the dogs. Our old dog, who has died, would leave them alone. She was a very sweet dog. R.i.p. to both of you.

I'm sorry about your hen. But don't blame your puppies. Dogs are not responsible for attacking chickens if they haven't been trained. I lost a pullet to my gentle golden retriever, after he had "played with" 2 others. We had to use a shock collar to train him with the dead chicken. He never went near our chickens again after that. We only used the collar twice and it went back in the drawer. Chickens need to be in predator proof areas, and family pets can be the worst predators.

I know, but these puppies are young but i blame my brother, he had to put them inside yhe house or the coup.
