My Sussex started hatching last night. So far, I have six Buff Sussex and more trying to hatch. I haven't hatched any of my Coronations yet but one is zipped, and one is pipped. The Buff Sussex are strong and healthy. The Buffs came from shipped eggs. The funny thing is I really didn't have much hope of them hatching. First, the eggs were shipped from North Carolina; Secondly, I had incubator problems so the eggs ended up sitting on the shelf for two weeks, without being turned, before I got them into an incubator. I thought real hard about not even putting them to hatch, and the only reason they were put in the incubator is because I had the space for them. Passineaux, you see --- sometimes they'll hatch no matter what you do.

I put them in the brooder with the Silver Sussex, and split Light Sussex that were shipped to me this week. They blended right in.

Champagne and Juice. Mimosas, Bellinis, and other fruit/champagne cocktails.

Whaddya want? I live in New Orleans!

Some people say they're bringing "food" also .... There were some folks interested in doing tea eggs, so we'll likely have trays of multicolored deviled eggs. One year someone brought a Red Velvet Armadillo Cake. There are usually a couple quiches.

The Easter Brunch Potluck I go to is pretty Epic.
