Lt. Colonel Bok Bok aka Mista Lova Lova !!PIC AND VIDEO!!

"The King of Queens" is our favorite show! It's very us. We love to pick out the locations. (Deacon's apartment is on Metropolitan Avenue, the IPS office is in Long Island City). That's where we're from, and we do talk like that!

I lived in upstate NY for 5 years. The first time I was in the city shopping, someone in a store asked me "What can a do ya for", I believe my answer was a somewhat shocked "I beg your pardon". I got over it, but I love regionalisms and accents. Every area seems to have words that only they use.

Alaska: "out the road" there is only one road out of town and everyone knows what you mean
Minnesota: "come with" as in I'm going to the mall, want to come with?
Wisconson: "fry out" grilling
Texas "well, bless his heart" sorry, he can't help it he was born that way
Utah "gentile" anyone not Mormon

There are lots more. Maybe we need to start a thread with everyone's favorites

Arkansas - "well, isn't that nice." when someone uses certain language - that is my absolute favorite to use on the phone with someone. St. Louisians get so ticked and say, "No. I am not meaning to be nice!"
