I wouldn't keep them together
Oh, that's good. I wanted to get peafowl but part of the reason I didnt was because of the blackhead. And I don't think we have space to build a separate enclosure for peas or turkeys :/

Would your parents let you get them?
Probably, my mom loves peafowl. But she wants free ranged ones, but I don't think it's safe for themSo I'm not sure I'd she would let me get them if I was going to keep them confined in a run. Plus we just don't have the space for a run that big. Maybe one big enough for turkeys
Free ranged ones would be nice
Yeah, it would. I just think an animal would eventually kill them though :/
Do you not have a fence around your property ?
Sort of, it's a 3 foot high flimsy wire fence and it's open in a couple areas. Even if we did have a nice fence coyotes can jump 6 ft. Chain link and dig under fencing. Not to mention all the hawks
I don't think that turkeys + chickens = instant blackhead. They just share diseases, so as long as blackhead wasn't introduced, they wouldn't get sick. But they're so cute![]()
Would you worry about the turkeys getting blackhead since you have chickens?
If there's any chance for food, they'll show upCoyotes don't really come out in the day. I don't think
