Here are some duckies up close.
I have yet to understand this! They have a tub of clean water right in front of them, yet they're drinking the muddy water next to the tub of clean water! :gig:lau
Ducks are hilarious sometimes!

This is my favorite drakelet from this year. I haven't figured out what to name him yet.

My one and only white Muscovy ducklet, stretching her wing.

This is Yasmin. She is sitting on 19 eggs. If I remember right, her eggs are supposed to hatch around September 10th. This is the last batch of eggs I'm hatching this year.
It's a good thing winter is coming otherwise I would be hatching MORE duck eggs! :gig

You have beautiful scovys!! How do you decide who stays and who go to freezer camp? Does your whole family get to decide or are these strictly your ducks?
Thank you!
I determine which ones I'm keep by looking at the color and size of each Muscovy. I save the biggest ones that are the colors I like best.
I make all the decisions on which ones to keep and\or butcher.
This year I'm saving back 25 Muscovies - 17 hens and 8 drakes.
