I might be hatching with y'all, I don't have a clue what all I'll be setting. I'm setting most of my stuff this month, so they'd be hatching right arond the time y'all'd be setting yours.

My son won! He is Mr. Shadow 2011! (Shadow Mountain High School)

It was a fundraiser for the March of Dimes.

Kind of a talent show, "Man Pageant"... my wife walked with him in the "formal wear" competition.

Fun night.

Well I have three pips in my duck eggs. WAY early! Maybe they will hatch before my son has to head to his duty station.

My Dad is heading home from the hospital on bed rest. He is scheduled to to see his surgen on the 31st to decide when to do his bypass surgery. I am really worried about him going home with no medical care. I am just not sure what they are waiting for. I mean why would you wait if his heart is only functioning at 15%? It seems so risky to send him home like that. I hate being so far away. And he is acting like everything is fine.

We are really enjoying the new puppy. A bright spot in all the worrying. I am keeping busy installing new base boards and spending time with DS #1 until he leaves. Tomorrow DD#3 is having a show and tell with her chickens at school. She is super excited. And softball season just started for us. DD's #1 and #3 will be playing and DH will be coaching the younger one. He coached the oldest for 2 years and she is moving up. DD#2 isn't playing due to poor grades. DD#3 is one of the youngest and I swear 2 ft shorter than all the rest of the girls.

the puppy!! So cute!!! We're gearing up for baseball season here too...ugh...hopefully it rains somewhat less than it did last year! We didn't finish the season until almost July with all the makeup games!

SGC you will enjoy the canyon, it is spectacular in person. I also LOVED hiking around in Sedona. Beautiful country!

NoseyChickens I know how hard it can be to be so far away from your dad and be worrying. When my dad was sick and I would ask him about his medical treatment, sometimes I just wanted to get on a plane and slap his doctors since what they were doing didn't make sense to me at all. Sending lots of prayers to you and him

My Brahma chicks are doing great and I am looking forwards to setting more eggs! DH keeps asking what we are going to do with all these chickens!

My little one just started baseball for the first time. He is so excited. It's all he talks about all day long.

I'm setting another emu egg today. It won't hatch in time for this contest, but will hopefully be a buddy for the emu due the week of the contest

My FBCMs chicks had a lake addition put into their brooder last night courtesy of my two year old. I cleaned it all our last night, but still I was so worried. I checked on them this AM and they are doing great. Woohoo!

I will be going into lock-down today with my 24 Ameraucanas in my hova bator. I then have my Brinsea all cleaned up and ready to go for the eggs I am having shipped.... more Ameraucanas and FBCMs. Can't wait till they get here. I am guessing Saturday. Praying they don't get stuck in the PO for the weekend.
