Got 2 dozen Crystal Creek eggs in the incubator currently due to go to lockdown in a week. Candled last night, 2 blood rings, 2 clears, 1 quitter, the rest look nice and dark and are developing. Hoping for a good hatch!


Need to decide on eggs for the Easter hatch, think I'll save up my blue eggs from the layer pen (3 Ameraucana ladies in there currently with the Marans) to hatch some B/B/S Cuckoo +/- gold/silver Olive Eggers for the laying pen. Will hold back the darkest of the Marans eggs as well for grins.

Any of those Iowa Blue eggs want to come to Wisconsin for to be hatching?

I was looking on an old marans thread - 2008 - and found a comment by you Mahonri. They had posted a pic of marans and you asked...

4BCMs and 6AMs... it will be filled by 1:30 on Sunday.

ETA: BTW... about 1 in 5 of my BCMs are without feathers on their shanks... just a heads up, they are still dark eggs!

There are no words to adequately describe the grand canyon.
I also saw sedona and montezumas castle.
The canyon was ... I could die there. Better than my wildest dreams. It is bringing tears to my eyes just thinking about it.

I would set some for Easter, but I can't wait that long. My need to hatch what I have is too great. I am being sucked into the vortex and I cannot escape its control. Must......hatch......more.......eggs......NOW!
