I have an ethics/moral question. I'm incubating two breeds of eggs from the same shipper. One breed is doing very well, about 80% developing. The other is not doing so well, like 20%. They were shipped in the same box and incubated in the same incubator. I certainly understand that it's a roll of the dice with shipped eggs and do not expect any type of compensation, nor do I believe I'd accept it if offered. My question is, would you let the shipper know? Sure there could be other reasons, but based on the available data, doesn't seem like a fertility issue is possible? If it were me I'd certainly want to know that I might have an issue, but I hear lots of stories on here about the arguments that sometimes ensue. At the moment, I intend to keep my pie-hole shut. I'm just curious what others think.
