OMG!!!! I have baby Easter Ducklings!!! I just looked into her pet carrier (that's what she made her nest box out of up on the patio) and there are 2 baby ducklings in there. One is yellow and black splotched and one looks blackish. I saw another egg with a big hole in it that's hatching **Happy Dance**

I will get some pics after more come out and she calms down a little she doesn't want me by that nest lol.

Much longer road trip for me than you...I'd do it if it weren't so far.

I'm contemplating just kicking out the kids and using their rooms for more space. The roofs of the fron and back porches are under their respective windows, for external space, and the chickens eat even less than the skinny kids do, so...

THANKS!!! I am going to give that last egg a few more hours but it LOOKS LIKE I had all eggs hatch minus 4. So I think my hatch rate is 89.7%
I pulled out one infertile, one late quitter and one died during the zip and one is just sitting in there with no action. Those numbers include my broody hen who mysteriously hatched 10 chicks when I gave her 9 eggs. I am only counting 9 for her. I believe the other hens have been laying in her nest, giving her more eggs. Maybe that also explains all the "clears" that have been dumped out of her nest... lol... I think I get it now! I had been wondering why I wasn't getting very many eggs the past few weeks

He was still pretty weak and just as I clicked the pic he managed to flip himself onto his back lol.

Well...my shamo hasn't done anything. Is everyone done hatching? I was gonna float test last night but after coloring easter eggs all night, didn't want to bother. I think I should give up.
