Can't have him.

Yep, I was pretty sure you were going to say that. I have a four and a five year (two sons) and they keep things lively (that is the nicest way I know to put it). I love hearing about everyone's childrens antics - makes me feel like our kids are perfectly normal!

we have 3 kids(DD-11 years, DS-8 years and DS-5 years) and we always tell people who ask if we are going to have anymore that there was a reason DS(5) was last, cause if he would have been first he would have been an only child! He can be the life of the party in more ways than one sometimes!

Still I won't have it anyother way and won't give any of them up for anything.

The skin was black ( a dark dull gray) and the bones were black - but not throughout. More like black marks on the outside of the bones. And the connective tissue was all black. The heart and liver were a dark grayish black all the way through.
He tasted just like any other chicken (homegrown) I have had. He was a tiny bit tough - but he was almost a year and a half old.
I am truly sorry to see him go. He was a lovely rooster. But recently every single hen I have is either setting on eggs or has tiny babies. He has no lady to court and his personality seems to have suffered. He was constantly chasing after all the new mommies and crow??? He crowed like there was no tomorrow! Poor dear. Now I have to find a new rooster.
And my incubator I was so set on winning! I had the crowingest rooster in town and now I have no picture to submit. How Murphy's Law is that?

I hear you. I have adult daughters - ages 26, 24 and 23. I was an excellent mother who, truth be told, spent some time looking down her nose at others and wondering why they didn't train their children better. I took a little break (for 20years or so) and now I have two little boys who behave as if they were raised by wolves! Teach me to be snooty!

I have a 2-month old TINY dutch bantam that crows his fool head off ALL day!

His eyes bulge out while he crows, I am going to try and get a picture of him. He makes me and my parents laugh with his facial expressions and squeaky crow!

Yesterday he was crowing while standing on a pullet, I wish I could have gotten a picture of him as he fell off when she moved!

Though he ain't got much meat on yet, DH would still be wanting to send him to the pot.

He does sound hilarious though. You just have to post pics

My 10wo Wellie just started and he doesn't sound real. DH slept right through his crowing this morning, even though he was in the laundry because of pen damage yesterday. lol
