Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

I have pipped eggs. Some success, some heartbreak. It is up to you. There have been a number of times I have interveined (spelling) and wished I hadn't. Othertimes egg-topsies showed I SHOULD have, since the chicks were shrink-wrapped.

I know this doesn't help, but it is up to you.

I'm getting kind of worried. No sounds for hours.

I think I'm going in. They were due Christmas and I've had a couple of day 25 hatches, but they just hatched, no days rocking and peeping days before. Maybe if I just pip and nothing else I'll be ok.

I've got one more exam and cleaning and I'm off to candle and lockdown a day early.

I hope it doesn't mess them up but I'm concerned about the Icelandics coming early.

At 25 days, I'd pip and see if it's still alive. Hard call though.

If you are frequently having late hatches, your temps may be too low. What are you using for a thermometer?

I'm locking mine down tomorrow.

I could tell at pip that it was dead. Two had stopped a while back. Two more were formed, but looked dryed up and the one that was rocking was perfect, but I can't tell if it was because it was too big maybe. IDK! I'm just sick
