for your pip . A bantam ?

The SS chicks will most likey be blue [ if any hatch ] ; possible dads are a splash and a white . However , the white breeds wrong for supposedly being recessive white , and has a history of throwing 50% solid white feathered / 50% solid blue feathered on white frizzled Cochins [ though he produced all whites on Ameraucanas ] . On my typically gold with black lacing EE , the white produced a brown chipmunk that is feathering mostly white with some blue and red , and a solid blue that has stayed blue .

oooh, you are good! Yes of course it had to be one of my own silkie eggs that pipped first. Hatching my own I have great success - now this shipped eggs thing seems to be a horse of a different color.
Your ss crosses sound pretty - I am hoping some of my light sussex eggs hatch - fingers, toes and eyes crossed.

Mine are now in lockdown. 15/23 eggs - 2 were blood rings, all others were clears. And I had 100% development on my eggs, so I'm happy that my rooster is doing his job.

Locked down:
3 olive eggers - mine
4 welsummers - mine
3 Icelandics
5 bantam cochins - never done bantams before.......they hatch early? Oh my!

And my guess is 10,000 posts. YUP, once everyone starts hatching, I see this thread exploding!

Locked down those lil wigglers! They all look so cute in the brinsea mini adv (I love this incubator btw, 7 at a time keep me in check).

The resevoir is all filled up, the shelf liner is in place and my old incubator is warming up to be used as my dryer/brooder.

Ya know, they need to make internal lights in brooders...like they do in ovens. I need to see in there! lol

I locked down at about 10 a.m. . I used hot water ; temps came back quickly but humidity read 86% and the windows fogged

. I pulled the vent plugs plus lifted the lid and wiped the windows . Its down to 70% on the Springfield ; the Acurite is still hovering at 20% to LO , it dropped there shortly after I bought it and started useing it on the first day and got all the way up to 22% when the windows fogged .

I saw no movement in the 21 eggs , and the 3 EE are probably clears but they're still in there .
