Good Morning!

Congratulations on all the little chickies that have blessed us with their early arrivals!

We have peeping here this morning but no pips. 'Bator's dropped to 90 degrees over night....it's very bbbbbbburrrryyyy outside and I forgot to load the woodstove before I finally drifted off for a couple hours, so I woke up to a frigid cold house.

Well many continued happy hatching vibes coming to everyone!

2 chicks completely out with 9 pipped and 3???

1 chick is black(says DD and DS(8)) and 1 is yellowish/blue(most likely a splash)

nothing.. Actually normally I wouldn't expect to have any pips this early - my bator's been rock solid at 99.6 so they should be 'on time', but you guys have me second guessing.

Woke up about 7ish to see two pips in the bator!

Then what do ya know, the wee guy started zipping! 30 min brought me a new little peeper

The second pip is thinking about zipping, I can tell

The other three are just chillin so far!

Well featherz, I know without a doubt that my hovabator was running high the entire time.

I woke up at about 5:55 AM to one out and two almost completely zipped...

First chick out: W/BW Ameraucana from Halo !!! WOOT!!

So I waited for the two that were almost done...

Second chick out: FBCM from my coop! this will help replace the ones I lost.

Third chick out: W/BW Ameraucana from Halo!!

Halo, did you send those eggs partially incubated?

Now for the rest of the news. ALL BUT FOUR IN THE HOVABATOR HAVE PIPPED! (21 eggs in there)

5 more are zipping.... of those 5.....

Illia: a Wheaten Marans has pipped and starting to zip!

Featherz: Not a stinkin' pip for the 21 eggs in the Brinsea. I'm convinced it was a tad low the entire time
I may not see any of those til Sunday.

So... I have hope to get at least 17 chicks.... not the 30 I was hoping for but hey, I'm happy.

... and I slept till close to 6AM

God bless Renee and thank you God for 5-HTP... or perhaps it was just because I was totally exhausted.

Now I'm gonna take a nap until time to get ready for the funeral.

If a dentist doesn't have at least 2 or 3 spare handpieces there is something very wrong. I know times are tough but hey... how old is the dentist? Why wouldn't the receptionist call you ahead of time and tell you that they weren't prepared to work on you?

Back when I first started, I worked on NY Eve for the first 5 or 6 years but I noticed that half the patients scheduled for that morning would end up cancelling and I'm not one to just sit around and wait. (Big surprise there) Anyway... makes you wonder if your current dentist has a drug problem... "the drill is broken" is NOT an acceptable excuse.
