besides - DH will let me drive all over half the state after birds, or even eggs......but he would "lay a golden egg" if I drove that far and bought eggs at grocery store to try to hatch.

I know of a Emu farm that is selling adults and eggs since the owner is retiring.

I was talking to someone about eggs and birds a while back and I really had to tel myself no.

Now how hard would it be to explain to the boyfriend (who is a very lovely, understanding, mild tempered man) that an emu egg just happened to show up in a dozen trader joe's eggs that I drove over 100 miles round trip to pick up and they all just happened to accidentally jump in my incubator...
