I'm in a very dangerous situation here.....I'm moving this week-end to my new farm place. The barn has oodles of space. I already have 5 pens built for my present birds and have only used 1/4 of the space. Then there's the 4 car HEATED garage, just perfect for growing out babies....It's hopeless. I am free to indulge my addiction....

I have exactly 40.

2 roos will have to go. a Policauna and a FBCM.

I will also be selling my 3 Golden Cuckoo Maran's hens.
I will probably also be selling most of my polish flock (6 pullets, 2 hens, 1 roo) to make room for the Icelandics.

So with the above gone I would have 26 remaining

I have 1 RIR and 2 EEs pullets and one PW Leghorn, I want to keep all of these for eggs.

I have 2 BW Ameraucana roos
and 15 W/BW Ameraucana females... from which I'm averaging ONE egg a day.

I have 4 FBCMarans and average 2 eggs a day from them.

I'm hoping to get at least 3 or 4 Icelandics, 4 or 5 good Marans pullets and 4 or 5 good w/BW Am. pullets.
Of course when you are hatching you need twice that many because half will be roos... so I'm hoping I hatch at least 30...then I'll be rehoming LOTS of roos and few of my older Ameraucana hens that turn two in April.
It never ends.

My wife just rolls her eyes now when I talk about getting out the bators.
