Hi! IF you have chickens LAYING eggs right now --- I am jealous!!!
I've been feeding the birds all kinds of concoctions to try to kick them into lay. Today, kitten chow, fish oil, and garlic.

Note to self: Fish oil is disgusting out of it's tidy gel-capsule --- I washed and washed, poured straight lemon juice on it, and the hand that I got fish oil on STILL smells like the bottom of a bait-bucket, yuckk --- but my cats were all intrigued by the smell.
I hope we don't smell like bad fish, we *ingest* the fish oil capsules daily.

I buy canned mackerel at WallyWorld and lentils 24% protein and the hens love steamed potatoes that I do in the pressure cooker since I have too many eggs I make up scrambled eggs with potatoes and add any old dairy stuff and stand back but I have egg orders for this hatch and want to be able to offer more for you who don't have eggs so today I gave them the mackerel mixed with their sprouted grains tomorrow the hot mix seeing if I can get 1 egg for each hen by the weekend so I can ship out eggs Monday and Tues and Wednesday....if this works well I can put more up in the BIN for this hatch so I'm trying for you guys.
