Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

WhooooWhoooooooo! Lots and lots of babies for the new year!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly, yesterday as I was looking for something I knocked my eggs off the table and wasn't able to catch them before they hit the floor. All but 3 eggs splattered on the floor.

Oh thats awful!!! One time I gathered up a dozen eggs that I was going to hatch, I set them on a chair outside while I did some more work, forgot they were there, and sat on them. It was sad....

Shucks, so sorry, I imagine before December is over, one or two of us will have a mishap or two.
Just a reminder for the rest of us to be careful and that "stuff" happens.

Pinkchick I have done something similar. In fact just a few days ago I tripped over an overfriendly (re:confused:ngry) chicken and I dropped an egg in the coop that I was really looking forward to hatching. I've been waiting months to get eggs off this hen and she has finally started laying in the nesting boxes when OOPS doesn't it go crashing to the floor. The egg I was holding in the other hand that was going to be the dogs breakfast was, of course, fine.

Thanks Friends!

These are the eggs I "WAS" saving.

I think that I'm going to grab all of my Olive egger's eggs this week and put those in for the hatch.

I'm in!

My little heavy red meatie girl that I kept is laying, and my rooster is doing his job! I'm hoping for some nice size birds.

So those will be my new years hatch!

How can I resist babies on new years day, thats when my eldest child was born
