I put 8 turkey eggs in my incubator today @ noon they seem to only take 27 days when I hatch them but my baby turkeys are just learning how to do all this so we'll see if any make it to lock down. My other hatch is in lock down now I hope they all hatch on time I need that incubator for my New Years hatch

I am getting more and more excited about setting eggs for the new year's hatch...but also more and more excited since today is day 18 for my eggs in the incubator. Anyone have any last minute advice???

Don't open the incubator and try not to get a flat nose from trying to look in there every 5 seconds mine went into lock down last night and a couple were wriggling trying to pip probably....

I, too, had a run of luck. It's snowing and in the 20s today and by the time I got home from work it was getting dark. One of my Easter Eggers was in the nest, I pushed her up and she was laying on the fake eggs. I went and cleaned the waterer and when I brought it back attempted to move her to a roost and there was a nice green (WARM!) egg in there. YAY!
I also won an auction for BLRWs (keeping my fingers crossed that USPS doesn't leave it in the snowbank next to my mailbox).

The white Orps won't count for the prize because they will be hatching the 26th. When are the duck and geese eggs due?

The prizes are for hatches happening New Years day. We are all setting our eggs on the 11th around noon, your local time.

Edited for clarification

sorry I cant read or count.... the ducks should hatch on the 1st!!!!! I might have some Turken eggs, to put in the 11th.
