OMG that is a GREAT idea!!!!! *off to put a pad in*

I had excess breast shield pads from when my son was born. Those work pretty well too

DW: Why are you getting into my pads?

Me: I just to have one on hand for day 18.... Don't worry it's a chicken thing. I'll be going through a 3 day period.
(The new catch phrase for lockdown... the period)

use a sea sponge in a dish of water, make sure the sponge is twice as tall as the dish.

Thats what I use.. 1 for normal and 2 for dry times.

My climate has a relative humidity of about 8% on a regular basis. It is HARD to get it up high.

Wow, good idea! I too, have been using balled up paper towels, wadded up in egg shapes and jammed in egg cartons, that I mist (with HOT water) when I open the bator to turn the eggs, I don't like doing it, I am actually looking forward to lockdown, when I don't have to turn and a 65% humidity is ok, because that's what the ultrasonic fog machine takes it too if I leave it running!

I have my Hova-bator preheated and ready to go for a Saturday launch for the New Years day incubation.

I should have 6+ bantam Araucana eggs, 5 Sultan eggs, 12 E.E. mix eggs, and maybe 12-ish LF Araucana eggs to put in by then.

C'mon, noon on Saturday! I am so excited!
