Mahonri's 2nd Annual NYDHatch, watching them grow...

Woo hoo Mahonri!

The post office calls at 5:30am. Wow

That is a lot of eggs in the bator, good thing chickens do not have teeth!

My incubator is together and we did a test run for a few hours last night. I haven't put down the hardware cloth or put the water refill tube in, yet. Then there is the egg turner to build. So, I have a bit of work to do this morning. The heat is holding and humidity is pretty good. It seems to be running with higher humidity than necessary. Is this ok before lockdown, or can this cause problems? I haven't put in air holes, yet, and I know this will release some of the humidity as well. Thanks for any advice given.

Welcome to all the new people joining the craziness!

My son goes up into Boy Scouts in February. Also, with that many hatching, you are going to be a slave to cleaning brooders!!!!!

Kathy........I'm sorry you won't be able to attend the show. What a bummer.

Hopefully the PO will have Mary's box of eggs this morning, so I can pick some up with some Icelandics to hatch.

Almost there!

The PO is doing great today..........recieved my call at 6:30
Of course they are not open yet...but I'll be there when they are.
Only have time to catch up on this thread if I do not do anything else today but feed the chickens and goats.
Actually, that is not such a bad prospect..........................
I am so excited but realized yesterday that I am usually asleep by 10:00
Hope I can stay awake
