Good Morning
big_smile.png

Went to feed ect..and collected 4 eggs..set them down on a bench and a big BO flew up and set on them.........
Then she tried to remove my Dh's hand when he tried to collect them.
She won.
Hummmmmmmmmmmmm..Broody?
Sure hope so.
I get much more enjoyment from a Broody than an incubater.........

This is to much fun . I was so afraid to leave my job for retirement.
If I had a clue how this would fill my days.( and nights) I would have left a lot sooner.

Dropped one of my New years eggs yesterday.....just slipped right through my hand.
Not touching them again unless I am sitting down with a folded bath towel under my hand.
What a waste.
DH said.." It was probably a roo....so not to feel so bad"
Might keep him for awhile............

Hey ChooksChick; what are these?........

Right now I have a bunch of FBCM, B/B/S & Lav Orps, banty Cochins, and EEs. Maybe a Serama or 2. That's the RCom. The others have Silver, Coronation, & Buff Sussex, Seramas, and maybe some banty frizzled Dun Polish...I didn't look carefully, and it's all RevolutionMama's stock. I think I have some Peafowl and Runners in there for her, too, because I remember giant eggs and her being mystified about the peahen laying.

TOO MANY EGGS!!! I think I have room for some I collected yesterday...

Thanx Renee,,Its easy to miss a few words when reading fast, trying to keep up with this thread sometimes.....

WHAT are they? They are incubators.

Yes, thanx Kathy...Heard of the little giant, but not the rcom...Never new incubators were so technical..When I was young, incubating was easy,,,now that I'm old and educated*from reading BYC,of course*I'll probly need to get some technical equipment....

Well, of course they did! Did you expect they wouldn't? Must be all girls .... they like to go UP high as they can, or mine do anyway.

On a promising note, I observed Isi on a date with Lukka as well as one of the little roos attempting a one-night-stand with blind Lucy. Some of your Icelandic eggs may be fertile after all Mahonri!

Hope so!

I am just killing time waiting for a call to go to the hospital and take my Mom home.

Hope she is doing well. Mom's are so special.

Have you all seen Mary's "Chicken Casserolle" pic? It's priceless.

OK I don't know about anyone else, but I haven't seen it and I would LOVE to see it! Her pics are just cracking me up!

Rainwolf - So what do you do with quail? Forgive my ignorance. Are they pets or dinner or ...you like little tiny eggs for breakfast? I see all these auctions on ebay for quail eggs but I wasn't sure what to do with them.
