Incubitis! I love it. I've been suffering from it - but didn't know what to call it.

re: turner

1. make sure the plug is still in and the circuit good
2. make sure the turner bracket is on the cam of the motor
3. make sure nothing in hung up in the trays, under the trays etc, blocking it from moving.
4. technically eggs can hatch quite well without turning in the first several days, so just fix it and don't worry. (yeah, like that is going to happen

)

Oh, wow! I have to watch this more closely or I'll never be able to keep up with what's going on. You guys make for great entertainment!

I absolutely love everybody's pictures! It's nice to take a break from the ever-important laundry pile (I h.a.t.e. laundry. And dishes. Those need done too.) and look at cute, fluffy, feathery and furry things.. great idea on the picture contest.

Mahonri, I hope you feel better. I'm blessed to not get hit with that stuff often, but it's pretty much my husband's constant state. I know it's miserable.

Illia, I hope you give your rooster a good talking-to on your expectations for his manly duties... maybe follow it up with some chocolate, oysters, and mood music in the coop.

But I'm curious, how much are you able to see in those dark eggs? What can you see to determine whether or not they were fertile?

And Steve, fingers crossed for fixed water stuff!

Sigh, I didn't make this hatch group.... I'm being a super sweety or is that sweaty and hatching some eggs for a friend with no bator! and they should be out about 4 days later but that's okay at least I'm hatching!!!!!

I pray everyone is doing alright and not stressing too much....Remember this is supposed to be fun!!!!!!!!! Not a hair thinner....LOL....

I also think that the "fan kit" being priced at $30 +/- is wrong! If anybody needs help adding a fan to an incubator, please pm me and I will walk you through adding a fan to ANY incubator for a cost of $5 or less! My fan came from a thrift store for 3.99. There are fans in everything! Of course, if price is not a concern, most places sell new fans for 20-30 dollars, but I prefer to recycle old parts and they are often better made and last longer than new "made in China" stuff that can be bought nowadays.

(note: I do NOT have any fans for sale, I will just point you in the right direction and give you free advice on where to look, what to use and how to wire)
