I go away for a few minutes and come back to .....

Well, we'll see what Laree hatches out for me. And I love making those lap rooters. For some reason the roos are less fearful and figure out who the big roo with the treats are and before long they are jumping up into my lap for bread or some other goody.

And I do imagine that I will have a whole BUNCH of roos that will need rehoming.

As for the Icelandics... what do I do if I get all roos?????

I know we aren't suppose to mix the Icelandic blood, but there may be some peeps around here that may want them.

Also...as for free ranging. We have an entire neighborhood here to the south of me that has 100s of free ranging chickens.

Would it hurt to add a little Icelandic blood to the neighborhood mix if I got all roos?

Then they would be true Aloha chickens: Phoenix backyard-ghetto bird crossed with something pretty and exotic.

My ameraucanas have finally started to lay a little. This week I've gotten a total of 29 eggs so far 3 EEs 4 lehorns and 3 polish, the rest ameraucanas. I should be getting three times that many... oh well.

What does Mary do with all of her extra ROOS???? Perhaps now that she is free ranging, she'll keep more... as insurance?
