Something woke me up. At least I'm caught up in this thread to this point.
I'm sure there will be another page or 20 when I wake up.

Two more LONG days at work. End of the year payday for my employees tomorrow.

OK I guess I'm not in lockdown. I've got a Brinsea Eco 20. I've put water in both troughs and a maxi pad in the one trough sticking out and my humidity will only stay at 65% for about an hour. I just woke up and it's down to 40% again. My house is about 3% humidity according to the lying Flukers gauge. I've put a pot of water on top of my pellet stove which is in the same room as the incubator (more stable heat than my wood stove or oil heated areas) hoping that that helps, except the pellet stove doesn't get too warm to the touch so we'll see.

Any other ideas? I'm toying with the idea of throwing a washcloth in the other trough.

go back a bit and find Kathy's pic of her Brinsea and the hole where she puts water in through a tube. Of course you have to have the pad put in there.

I use the humidity pump and notice that it's going full time now that I have it set at 65%

Yes, I've got my maxi pad situated so I can stick a syringe with needle through the vent hole and hit the pad directly.

Problem is I had this sucker saturated and both troughs full and that didn't last long. My pad just took another 100 ml of water.

I work and can't sit at home squirting water onto a maxi pad (although that would be a great excuse to call out).

I'm going to stick a piece of washcloth in the other trough and see how that does between now and when I'm actually supposed to be up (2 hrs).
