Oh no. I hadn't been thinking about that, even though I knew the storm was coming. We ALWAYS lose power here in big storms. My best hope is that it is brief

Yesterday after reading that some of you had wigglers - I rushed home after work and hovered (is that why they call it a hovabator?) looking for movement. Not a darn thing!
I got up at 4:30 this morning and started locking down. I have a little cripple chick I carry in my pocket and she kept chirping, soft then loud, soft then loud. Took me a moment to realize the soft noise was coming from the incubator. Would you believe I have a chick pipped? Well maybe you would, but me, I am all a-quiver with excitement!

Here is my lockdown:
2 silkies (my own eggs)
8 light sussex
1 marans
2 bantam campine
================
13 eggs total out of 42 shipped and 24 set

*Mahonri - this means the pumpkin hulseys didn't make it.

And is it okay if the paper towels on the grate are wet from the trays underneath? Should the eggs sit on the wet towels or should I put them on something dry??
