I have never seen movement. I just stick them to the flashlight and look at how dark they are

Basically what I do too.

I have turners in all but one incubator, but only usually use it for hatching.

I have no idea what I'm doing wrong.

Out of 82 eggs and using 2 different bators? Come on I should have something.

The BCM eggs and the Wellies I can see diddly through. Some are still iffy and most I can see mass and aircells.

This is just rediculous!


I had 2 hatches last months and some in Nov and Sept. All of these were shipped, but from different states or areas. Only 3 chicks each time, but at least I got hatches. I've had so many NO HATCHES that it's sickening.

I'm just frustrated!

Woohoo! I have my second chick! Wow, I can't believe that the first one took about 24 hours and the second one took close to 28. That's incredible.

I was just thinking about the process of the chicks developing in 21 days. Isn't that amazing that a chicken can develop and be ready to live on its own(with my pampering of course) in just 21 days? I just find it to be quite amazing. And actually hatching?! That must be so hard for a creature thats never even moved around on its own before. It has to break through a solid wall around it. I think it's also incredible that they know that's what their supposed to do.

Nuclear, I wait 4 days past scheduled hatch day. I have had them hatch that late.

Okay, folks. If you set them at noon on Saturday the 11th, they aren't really all that late-

BUT- If you are sure you want to do something or have some peace of mind, there's a discussion we had a couple of days ago about how some of us go about pipping for them when we think we have to. That's all I'll say, I will not be an enabler, because I have regretted helping many times. I won't judge, but I won't make it easy, either.

C'mon chickies!! Get it moving!!!

One may not make it.........so that is the worst hatch rate EVER for me on shipped eggs. Well.....other than the time none hatched but all were not fertile and the person I got them from had none hatch either!

all I can say is I wait at least 4 days from hatching before deciding anything other than giving electrolytes and vitamins unless the chick is in distress.

It's just all those folks who reported their hatchlings that got us all excited. I know that. It's just hard to have retarded eggs.
