LOL it was me!! DH is my "Will" power....

Will I or won't I go home with a new pet. HMMMM

Yes, I left and came back and saw the ducks. They were adorable! I resisted and may be sorry I did. LOL

Verti,
Sorry I missed you! I DID see some folks behind the tables and I should have come over to introduce myself. My bad.
Next year....! or Next time....! We'll all get together again.

Chickn. That is my big butt in the black skirt.

No need to put my name anywhere near that.

Two of my puddins and on the ground looking in the cages. Thanks for taking pictures.

Thanks for bringing the darling d'uccles. They are all cuddled up in their brooder under the light and have eaten, drank and gotten a tiny amount of tenderness. The children love them.

I took banter's 3 brabanters. They are precious and many people approached me wanting to take them home.....

My youngest son bought a dozen eggs from Verthandi for .25 cents. He held them like they were precious jewels. They were an assortment of tiny bantam eggs and such. It made his day. I am not sure he will eat them, but if a quarter can make a child so content, I'll do that anyday.

Thanks to all the organizers.

Hi All- I'm new to this group, but attended the swap/sell today. It was a hoot! Bird people are so friendly! I had lots of interesting conversations with folks and learned some new stuff. And saw some neat varieties of chickens I'd never seen, before! I couldn't believe how quickly my silkies and showgirls disappeared! LOL!

It's good, though- they all seemed to get great homes. And now I can focus on my blue Showgirl lines.

Bangor777- I love my Black Star girls! :0) They settled right in as if they've always been here. They're a much appreciated addition to our egg laying flock. I'll keep them in a chicken tractor until they're large enough to introduce to our old girls. I don't want them to get picked on by those big girls- they can get grumpy in their old age! LOL!

Is anyone here showing at the Skowhegan Fair? I'll have my white Showgirl trio in the poultry tent, one blue Showgirl pullet, and a lovely blue Silkie hen and Red Silkie hen.

Nice to meet you all-

Chickn,

Those silkies I got from you years ago were the best little cuties I ever saw! I enjoyed having them and had a couple go broody this spring. Hatched out some chicks and found homes for ALL of them. I miss them now and again...but I needed to downsize at the time.
They all have new owners who seem quite pleased with their purchases.

Great to see you again too!

Sylvia

Darker chick was bought beside the truck with the pheasants first thing in the morning. If it is one of yours, it's just the sweetest thing. Loves to be cuddled and is curious. It was peeping it's little head off for a while and I would take it out of the carrier and it would just snuggle down and sit in my lap.

Me...yellow shirt, short red hair, 50ish. Phew looks like you missed me with the camera. Great shots...love the parade of kids walking together.

I knew your name was familar somehow to me. My barn boy bought some silkies from you...last year maybe. Seems thought it might have been a white roo? maybe? very nice bird.

Oh, just one friendly idea for the next gathering- maybe more directional signs, like off the highway exits, and then at the Hallowell Road. I got lost with my friend driving in tow- we ended up going about half an hour out of our way. I heard from a few others who got lost, too.

I really enjoyed the benefit auction and venders.

All in all, it was a very nifty gathering!

I wonder if the Maine Bird Fanciers Society knew about it?
