We have enough of those about ten hours south of us. Do not need any here. No insult to actual monkeys intended.![]()
Piperazine and wazine are the same chemical. Its gentle, mild, so they recommend it for first timers but I don't bother with any of that chemical mystery. Get yourself the Ivermectin and stop wondering. It does on the skin directly. It works quickly and is out of their system quickly. I sent you a pm with details on finding it. Everyone is a vet in here but if you just do what you can that's more than nothing and nothing will certainly kill them. That makes it easier to act in my mind. Hope it helps you.Thank you both SCG & Hoppy!
I'm very confused on the wormers. I've read: wazine should be used for first time wormings preventing worm overload which could be toxic and kill the chicken. and then in the same thread: it isn't necessary to use wazine first since valbazen kills gently over several days.
Advice from someone who has experience with wormers?? I don't want to overload her system either way.
Thank you both SCG & Hoppy!

I hope some of you will show up at the Bird Show. There are enough entries that we are in two buildings this year. Come see the different breeds and come see the difference between hatchery and 'heritage.' Its amazing to see the different birds you never knew were out there and folks are nice. Hoppy mentioned it was free so.... come support us kids and kids at heart with birds all clean and perdy!
I am really getting into my chickens. A good friend of mine referred me to this site. Looking forward to learning how to best take care of my chickens esp. this coming winter. I am a first time chicken owner, so I got some learning to do..
