Maine

I'd love to get some of the black copper Marans chicks, but I'm not sure I should get anything until I get this disease situation figured out.

I see that the University of Maine will do a necropsy for $25, if one of the hens finally dies. Meanwhile, does anyone know a vet with some expertise in poultry disease? This disease has only infected 2 birds so far, but the symptoms are the same, so I am assuming it is contagious.

SCG If you wanted to pick up the 3 babies I could bring them to the Skowhegan swap with me. Let me know if you do.

BF doesn't know... I was hoping to sneak them in with the chicks I recently hatched. Do you take 201 N to get to Skowhegan? I won't be attending the swap but I live right off 201 and could meet you.

Scg, what dimension is the base ?

10x9ish should be near 100 square feet.

And I figured out I have two roos since one of the unknowns started crowing. So now I believe I have a white pair and a black trio.

I had 2 roos and 2 hens in that pen and then just grabbed an egg from my paint pen and tossed it in the incubator, you'd think with 2 roos, I'd have fertile eggs, no.
only that paint egg from a different pen.
