I bet it uses pumpkin! I mess with my bread recipes all the time. SCG had one that was chocolate bread I messed with and it smelled soooo good. She said it tasted good too.OMG- flying pigs, look out!!
widget, i bet i could make you some "healthy" food and you wouldn't know it was a healthy version. I make this chocolate cake that my kids said to make sure I wrote down the recipe, they wanted that again (it's my own recipe- I like to experiment)- it's 100 calories/serving, low sugar and high fiber and full of chocolaty goodness.
congrats on the turkeys.....and the productive bf!!
I enjoy seeing everyone's projects!
Even though I do not do much in the way of Christmas, it has become tradition to make wreaths, swags, and/or center pieces with a group of teachers. I usually gather the boughs for the group. I've always made my swag using natural materials; sumac and winterberry to add a little red, weird stuff I find in the woods, including a bow-shaped mushroom.
This year, I saved wing feathers while the chickens were molting, and used those. The swag will go on the front door, although here I laid it on the tile floor because it was dark out.

Though I'll make up for it later with some gluten free pumpkin muffins (which are to die for, btw!).Ashandvine, and others too. I am in Monmouth and would love to help each other out. Sometimes I have crittter stuff that I really need another set of hands to accomplish, and I would be happy to go help out someone else
I am not real clever when it comes to putting construction type things together but in the end I get it done. I LOVE to re purpose stuff. Come spring I will be doing a pallet garden. My geese free range during the day and go into the barn at night with the rest of the flock of assorted ducks.
It would be fun to do a get together with peeps on the list. I would be willing to look for a no cost or low cost place for us to do something like a healthy potluck and figure out how we can help each other as a community as well as share information. I go to CMBF that meets,(or I will be going again now that I am a bit more mobile on the ankle) it is a great place for good information from some serious breeders, and folks who show, but most of the folks there are WAY beyond beginner level and don't really have the same kinds of needs that others of us (me) may have.
Anyone else up for a get together and if so what are your ideas?
Poor turkeys... inside all day in a small pen. Bad bf! Bad bf!
Been looking up information on aviaries and bird netting... ugh. That co operative is sounding better and better.
