Widget, I make 2 loaves of bread a week and I have to say that your 45 minutes of breadmaking sounds like a dream.
BF went to work today, I butchered roos. We are now 10 roos lighter. Just finished cleaning up and he should be home any minute, to find 10 carcasses that he'll have to cut up and put into bags because I am bushed.
Unfortunately my roos had mites. I had treated the tractor with 2 weekly doses of ivermectin (today was the 3rd week when they'd be due again) and one of them was still totally encrusted with mites. The others had a small infestation. That makes me think I shouldn't use ivermectin on the main coop biddies (the roos I pulled out of there also had some mites). I really, really, appreciate my neighbor getting "free range" birds and not delousing them. I even gave her the wormer and ivermectin and she just never did it. My flock was fine until her birds started coming over and now I have mites. Coincidence? Not sure.
