I have four great laying hens I'm looking to rehome: a barred rock, a wyandotte, and two pretty brown easter eggers who lay very nice bright blue eggs. Only two years old. Free to a good home. I can get pictures if anyone is interested. I have more eggs than I can eat and I'm looking to downsize.

By the way, I'm also looking for a silkie rooster if anyone in the Portland area or relatively close by is looking to rehome one.
 
Found a home for the hens! Still looking for a silkie or maybe a different type of bantam rooster though. Originally it was for my silkie hen but she was unfortunately snatched in broad daylight by a mink last week, so I'm now in the process of mink proofing all they outdoor pens but once that's done I will need a buddy for my now single bantam hen.

Also- I'm looking into getting some barbu de watermael from GFF but the minimum order is 12 and I really can't have that many. Would anyone in the southern maine area, or someone within driving distance, be interested in splitting an order? I'll post this elsewhere as well but it seems like a good thing to put in the maine thread just in case. They look like very funny little chickens and I haven't read much about them or found them for sale elsewhere.

Where are you? I have a silkie roo but, how far in southern Maine are you? I'm in the county, and can travel a bit but it may not be worth it for either of us if it's too far. I have a few roosters I am trying to rehome, so at this point I will travel a bit. Lol. My girls don't like this many roos, and neither do my neighbors. 🥴

Lol! I'm in portland. Do you have a pic of your silkie roo?
 
I am hoping so. We will see. Hard to rehome roos some times. I will post a photo this evening. Thanks for the interest. Good luck to you.
