Maine

I am in Monmouth and am watching the top of a ruler I placed upright on top of my car disappear,

although it is starting to slow down now, it is over the 10" mark. The turkey and the duck that chose to roost on the barn roof last night were anxious to get inside the barn this AM, the horse went out, rolled in the snow, did her rodeo horse imitation and asked to go back in her stall even though she has a nice dry run in. The khaki campbells piled outside and are hunkered down in the snow as well as a few of the muscovies, but the chickens and turkeys are a no go for the snow.

Feeling blessed to be warm and dry and starting the T Day baking now.
Wishing blessings for all for Thanksgiving.

Ended up with about 6" here. Lost power for a bit but it was back on by the time I got home from work. Good news is that my snow blower starts and actually blows snow. Last season it would only blow the snow now and then. Amazing what a difference new auger belt makes. Bad news is someone walked away with the can of gas I had on my front porch so I was only able to blow one path down the front walk. At least the can was only about 1/4 filled and the gas was old so the person who took it didn't get much. I do have another gas can but of course it was empty.
Driving was bad this morning. Very slippery. As usual people seem to have forgotten how to drive. Fortunately everyone on my crew at work made it to work safely. While my boss also made it safely he somehow managed to back into another employees car doing about $1500 in damage. And the person he backed into is on my crew. To make matters worse it seems that insurance agents and collision repair shops decided that today was a holiday.

I have plenty of snow to share if anyone wants it come get it! Just a fraction of an inch shy of a foot!
I have evening barn chores done finally, I had to chase the ducks around the run in to get them back into the barn.
I really need an Aussie to help me.

At least 6 inches in Argyle. No animal wanted out today, not even the two legged ones, but we had to go out in it.

I've loaded up the incubator with 9 paint silkie eggs and one lavender wyandotte- I must be crazy but I'll be ready for when the swaps start with paints. I won't start large fowl in force until feb/march. (I don't want to be too ready for show season.)
