Making a small box for my 5 week old rooster to sleep and lay in so he can stay off the water bowl and stop pooping in it also so he can chill out and not get bothered.

A box isn't gonna help that. He wants to roost, not lay downMaking a small box for my 5 week old rooster to sleep and lay in so he can stay off the water bowl and stop pooping in it also so he can chill out and not get bothered.
he will sit on the water bowl and the others will look at him and start pecking him and flying at him to get him off so they can fly upHe is probably trying to roost, you should find him something he can perch on, then he'd probably stop pooping in the water bowl.
It sounds like you need roosts. Chickens will often compete for the highest roost. If you don't want them using the water bottle for a roost you need to 1) provide them with roosts and 2) make the top of the waterer inaccessible (I've had good luck taping on an upside down funnel to make it impossible to roost there).he will sit on the water bowl and the others will look at him and start pecking him and flying at him to get him off so they can fly up
It looks like this I don't have a actual photoLike the others said in the thread he probably is trying to perch and the water bowl is the only available thing for him. Do you have a picture of your water coop?
Only 5 are sitting in it and the rest are near the heat lamp asleepThey're gonna perch up there. It's just birds being birds. Put in a roost or a cone on the top of the waterer. A box isnt gonna do anything but take up floorspace
