FYI, that's deep bedding in the raised coop, and that's the unpainted inside of the concrete board walls - looks almost brand new.

The lighter chick looks like it maybe a Red X White crossing. So you may have a white bird with red leakage as it feathers out.These are the two she hatched before abandoning the nest -

Yes. Already lost her first hatchling. Lost a second that died while exiting the shell. The two pictured are the only ones which have made it, and the rest of the eggs appear abandoned. I need to use the cell phone flashlight when she's off the nest to see if there is any movement in any of them.Is the broody a new mamma?
