I would suggest instead of just access to a coop at all times, enclosing them in it at night. Ducks don’t need food and water overnight, and typically don’t use nesting boxes (buts it’s great that yours might!). Ducks do make a nest for eggs, so continue to check where you found your egg!

Looks like we did end up with a pair We have been getting one egg almost every day and so happy she has been laying in their nesting box. We have cracked open a few eggs that look like they have been fertilized with little blood vessels (our dogs have enjoyed a few of those). Now comes the hard part of convincing my husband that we may want to hatch a few next year Happy Holidays everyone!
